Purpose

Clinical evaluation of Barricaid compared to Coe-Pak hard and fast setting.

Results

• 38 contralateral surgical sites
• Before surgery and at 1 week, 1 month and 3 months after surgery
• Barricaid showed less plaque accumulation.
• Gingival inflammation and pocket depths were similar.
• Time of application was similar.
• Barricaid was more retentive and cohesive.
• Based on esthetics and overall assessment patients preferred Barricaid.
