This study was to compare clinical and histological results after perio flap surgery with and without dressing and to subjectively evaluate postoperative comfort

Materials and Methods

• 7 patients
• FTF with osseous in 20 Quads.
• Half of the quads received a noneugenol dressing and the other half was left undressed.
• Gingival fluid, Ging Index, Pocket depths and patient comfort were studied up to 16 weeks.

Results

• No difference in clinical parameters.
• Patients reported more pain and discomfort when dressing was used.
