Educational and Professional Background
Dr. Sedano graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in 1949 from Saint Martin College in Rosario, Argentina. He obtained his DDS degree from the Rosario Dental School in 1956 and from the same Dental School, he was awarded the Doctor in Odontology degree in 1965.
Dr. Sedano studied under Dr. Robert J. Gorlin at the University of Minnesota from 1962 to 1964, where he trained in Oral Pathology and Genetics. From 1964 to 1966, he was an Assistant Professor in Oral and General Pathology in Rosario Dental School. He returned to the United States 1966 to assume an Assistant Professorship in Oral Pathology at the School of Dentistry, University of Minnesota. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 1971, to Graduate Faculty in 1973, to Professor in 1978 and he retired from the University of Minnesota as an Emeritus Professor in 1994. Dr. Sedano has been a Lecturer at UCLA since 1994. Dr. Sedano is author and/or co-author of more than 100 publications including books, book chapters, computerized teaching aids and research papers in national and international journals. He has presented more than 70 papers at national and international meetings as well as given more than 200 courses, conferences and lectures in Oral Pathology, Orofacial Genetics and Syndromes of the Head and Neck, throughout United States as well as in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Germany, Guatemala, Italy, Nicaragua, Peru, Spain, and Uruguay.

Research/Creative Activities
Dr. Sedano’s research activities have been in the field of congenital oral malformations and genetics as well as in inherited syndromes associated with teeth malformations.

Patient Care Activities
Presently he is a member of the Craniofacial Clinic in the Department of Pediatrics School of Medicine at UCLA, where he represents the section of Pediatric Dentistry. One day a week, Dr. Sedano is also in charge of the Oral Diagnosis Clinic at the UCLA School of Dentistry.
