"A career in teaching was appealing to me for several reasons. It demands and allows me to keep up to date with current trends in my profession. It is enjoyable to work with students and residents who are motivated to advance their knowledge and skills. Without a doubt, the greatest reward for me as a teacher is to participate in and to share responsibility for the growth and development of young professionals during their education.

UCLA School of Dentistry has a tradition of excellence in research, teaching, clinical activities and public service. My early experiences as a student and resident at UCLA forged an impression on me and served as the foundation for my decision to pursue a faculty position at UCLA. I found the faculty to be dedicated, the students to be hard working and the patient care experiences to be outstanding."
