Leroy Vego, D.D.S.

Educational and Professional Background

Dr. Leroy Vego attended the University of Southern California where he majored in Psychology. He received his D.D.S. and M.S. degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. For more than twenty years, he has lectured to the Postdoctoral residents in the Section of Orthodontics. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Orthodontics at UCLA. He is also the Clinic Director and Director of Postgraduate Program in Orthodontics.

Research/Creative Activities

In the early 70's, Dr. Vego started treating preschool children with prognathic jaws. He has published and lectured widely on the subject. UCLA is one of the first schools in the country to use orthopedic treatment on very young children. Another area that has given him notoriety is his thesis on the effect of the erupting third molar on the developed dentition.
