"Teaching is a way of sharing one's knowledge with students, whether they are predoctoral students, postdoctoral students or practicing dentists. Teaching and research keeps faculty active and aware of the most recent findings and challenges us to discover new avenues for diagnosis and treatment of diseases. UCLA School of Dentistry gives me the opportunity to teach one of the best student pools in the country and gives me the resources to do research in the best scientific environment."
