Wilson-Jennings-Bloomfield UCLA Venice Dental Center

The Wilson-Jennings-Bloomfield UCLA Venice Dental Center is a community-oriented clinic that provides comprehensive dental care to an ethnically diverse, lower income population from Venice and the surrounding areas. The Center was founded in 1969 by the UCLA School of Dentistry and over the years has grown from a five-chair storefront unit to a 20-chair state-of-the-art clinic that handles more than 15,000 patient visits annually. The program serves indigent patients, the elderly, the homeless, and ethnic minorities whose needs are great and whose resources are sorely limited. In addition to the pre-doctoral program at Venice, there is an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Program, which trains graduate dentists to deliver cost-effective quality care to the underserved.
