Contracts & Grants

Facilities Planning Office
The Facilities Planning Office provides a wide range of services to the School in the areas of room scheduling/reservations, equipment and furniture procurement, equipment inventory, issuance of keys, radiation safety, repair of clinic and laboratory equipment, mail and copying, office supplies and off-site storage. Dental Storeroom
The Dental Storeroom serves as a key component of School of Dentistry operations by providing the most commonly used dental products. It stocks clinical supplies & forms for the School of Dentistry and its satellite clinics. It also serves as a receiving hub for incoming packages for the majority of sections within the dental school. Orders for supplies are placed via the WebCart. Orders are fulfilled & delivered by the Storekeeper along with any received packages.

Faculty Executive Committee
The Faculty Executive Committee is comprised of the Chair, the Chair-Elect, and the Immediate Past Chair of the faculty, six other elected members of the faculty, the Dean of the School of Dentistry (with a vote) and a representative from the School of Medicine.
The FEC has a number of responsibilities including the following:
- Has general jurisdiction over the curricula and conduct of instruction and requirements for degrees
- Considers matters of general concern to the faculty
- Advises the Dean and faculty on matters concerning the School’s policies, programs and budget.
- Appoints the standing committees of the faculty
- Receives reports from the standing committees of the faculty
- Implements rules and regulations prescribed by the faculty
- Reports to the faculty at least quarterly.
Media Center
The School of Dentistry Media Center has been supporting the School of Dentistry's faculty and student endeavors for more than 10 years. The services offered by this unit are broad, helping to fulfill the School's teaching, research and patient care missions. Services include large format posters for research presentations, lecture development through PowerPoint support, image processing, and marketing materials such as clinic brochures, advertisements, and other aspects of print media.
Computer Services
The Computer Services Office provides desktop support for the faculty, staff and students of the School of Dentistry and sponsored remote clinics. The office supports the range of Windows operating systems from Windows XP to 2003 and also the Macintosh 10.x operating systems. The office is also responsible for troubleshooting laptop problems on school-approved systems for students and residents. The Computer Services Office also maintains the School’s network infrastructure and network shared resources. Finally, the office staff supports and trains faculty, staff and students on the clinic management system.
The Computer Services Office is located in B3-022 and open door walk-in hours are Monday - Friday 12:00 - 2:00 pm. The office is normally staffed Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. For information about security updates and virus software, please refer to the Computer Service Webpage.

Student Affairs and Outreach
The Office for Student Affairs is responsible for coordinating DDS admissions, PPID admissions, residency/post-graduate program admissions, registrar functions, financial aid and academic and personal counseling. In addition, the Office coordinates a number of the important celebratory functions at the School including, orientation, dental pledge ceremony, school picnic, scholarship ceremony, senior awards ceremony, commencement, the talent show, and OKU ceremony. The development office receives and acknowledges charitable gifts made to the UCLA School of Dentistry and facilitates connections between donors and the beneficiaries of their generosity. Staff Human Resources
The School of Dentistry staff human resources office provides essential services including staff recruitment, campus parking services, identification badges and serving as a key information resource for hiring, payroll, leaves of absence, benefits, University of California policy interpretation and all other issues relating to staff employees. Academic Personnel Office
The academic personnel office serves the diverse needs of faculty, researchers, and residents. The office is responsible for administering academic personnel policies and procedures, including dossiers for merit increases and promotions, compensation, recruitment, periodic review of faculty and courses, health and welfare benefits, retirement, and many other issues that pertain to these academic titles. Clinical Services
The School of Dentistry clinical service areas employ the greatest number of people in the School. The School of Dentistry has a number of general practice and specialty clinics with different providers including student dentists, resident dentists and faculty dentists.
